Ximena Muñoz
Ximena Muñoz is a colombian songwriter who has worked for the latin market for the last fifteen years. She has been a part of very relevant music publishing companies like Famous Music Publishing (where she worked with Kike Santander for seven years), Maximo Aguirre Music Publishing, and now Warner Chappell.
Ximena has worked with big latin artist like Alejandro Fernandez. Her song "Me Estoy Enamorando" is the title of the album that sold more than 3 million copies, and had Gold and Platinum attributions to it. Ximena also has received Gold and Platinum attributions for albums of artists like David Bisbal, Ednita Nazario and Olga Tañon.
Ximena has also worked with many artist, including: Noelia, Thalia, Alejandra Guzman, Gisselle, Yolandita Monge, Rogelio Martinez, Paty Cantú, Juanes, Reik, Cumbre Norteña, Anahi, Dulce Maria, Christopher Ukerman, Cristian Chavez, Marlango, Camila Gallardo and many others.
In 2011, Ximena had a number one on billboard with her song "A Punto de Llorar" by Los Rieleros Del Norte, making a big step in regional mexican music.
Like in the Alejandro Fernandez album, Ximena's songs had given the titles of Ednita Nazario's "Por ti”, two of Olga Tañon's albums "Yo por ti" and "Una nueva mujer", and David Bisbal “TU Y YO”.
Both of Olga Tañon's albums won Grammys in the category of Best Merengue album and her single "Mienteme" was in the top 20 on billboard for more than 20 weeks.
Ximena also has a background in classical music. She studied at the Music Consevatory for seventeen years and is a violin and piano player.
